September 2022 ISI Inspection a resounding success

Posted: 31st October 2022

I am absolutely delighted to let you know that we have received the final report from the Independent School’s Inspectorate following their inspection of HCH in September and the outcome is a resounding success.

As a compliance inspection, there are only two outcomes for each of the eight standards that are inspected, met or not met; and HCH has met all the required standards.

The inspectors spent two days at HCH and carried out a very thorough review of all areas of the school, from extra-curricular activities to staff recruitment. They observed lessons, had discussions with students and examined samples of their work, met with members of staff, governors, and attended form time and assemblies and carefully reviewed the paperwork and data that we use to run the school. This, combined with the superb response to the questionnaires by parents, students and staff, provided the evidence needed to show that HCH is well run, well organised and provides an enriching education in a safe and supportive environment.

With the inspection behind us, we are clearly focused on the next phase of school development and will be working to deliver the refinements I outlined in my recent half term update and a smooth transition of leadership at the end of this term.

I would like to say a heartfelt thank you for your support during the inspection period. The full report is available to view here.  If you have any questions about it, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
