Sivani moved to the UK from Sri Lanka at the age of seven and studied locally at Tiffin Girls’ School in Kingston. Following this, a degree in Physics with Computing at Warwick and a PGCE in Secondary Science at The University of Nottingham brought Sivani into a career in teaching that has taught and developed her more than she could have imagined. Sivani has many years of experience in teaching maths and physics at key stages 3-5 and enjoys her job enormously.
In her spare time Sivani enjoys yoga, photography and travelling. She counts trekking in the Himalayas, exploring the mountain kingdom of Bhutan and climbing a Venezuelan tepui as some of her most memorable experiences. She is at her happiest when exploring new environments and cultures and is excited to be part of a school which places such value on openness, empathy and social engagement.
