Tom grew up locally in Twickenham and attended Orleans Park School, before going on to study History at the University of Swansea.
After graduating, he spent several years working as a teacher of both History and English in Spain and then South Korea. Following his return to the UK in 2013, he completed a PGCE and worked at a grammar school in Buckinghamshire before joining HCH in 2015. In 2020, Tom completed an MA in History at Birkbeck University.
Successfully conveying ideas and stimulating his students to think about and understand the importance and value of history gives Tom great personal satisfaction. His main interests include reading, cycling, rugby and travelling.
