Victoria has taught Latin to A Level at two schools in the London area as well as spending time as a postgraduate teacher at University College London. Before her career in teaching, Victoria studied Classics at Exeter and also for a Masters Degree at Edinburgh University .
Her approach to teaching Latin follows as close to ‘cultural immersion’ as is possible in the twenty-first century, with students gaining a strong cultural and historical knowledge behind the language they study. Students go on trips to museums, to sees plays to give a flavour of Classics as more than something only in the classroom. Victoria particularly enjoys teaching and exploring the Late Republic into the reign of Augustus as the depth of literature and material culture gives students a wide window into the ancient world.
Outside of teaching Victoria enjoys travelling and cooking in the UK and abroad. She can also frequently be found down the sailing club!
