A unique Sixth Form Journey – Preparing Students for Life
At Hampton Court House we believe Sixth Form education should prepare students for life – not just for university. Our unique Sixth Form programme is designed to equip students with independence, self-awareness, resilience, and confidence, empowering them to navigate the future as capable, well-rounded young adults.
At HCH Sixth Form academic success is only part of the journey. Our holistic Sixth Form programme ensures students graduate not only with outstanding academic results, but also with strong physical and mental health, proven leadership skills, cultural literacy, and a commitment to giving back to the community.
Our evidence-based approach to Sixth Form education blends academic excellence with five carefully curated pillars: physical health, mental health, leadership, cultural literacy, and philanthropy / giving back. Each pillar is delivered by expert staff and integrated into every student’s individual journey toward personal growth, independence, and self-discovery.
Physical Health: Building Strength and Focus
Our Physical Health programme empowers Sixth Form students with personalised fitness plans created by expert trainers. Students engage in strength training, calisthenics, and flexibility work to improve physical fitness, enhance focus, and boost academic performance. We believe that a strong body supports a strong mind, laying the foundation for success both inside and outside the classroom.
Mental Health: Fostering Resilience and Emotional Wellbeing
At HCH, mental wellbeing is a cornerstone of Sixth Form life. Our Mental Health programme supports students through a network of trained Student Mental Health Champions, many of whom are Sixth Formers themselves. Initiatives like the Recharge Room, mindfulness walks in our beautiful school grounds, and our onsite wellbeing dog, Leo, create an environment where students can build resilience, manage stress, and support one another.
Cultural Literacy: Expanding Horizons
Our Sixth Form students develop a deep appreciation for the arts and global engagement through experiences such as visits to concerts, opera performances, ballet, university tours, and international travel. Cultural literacy broadens perspectives, inspires creativity, and prepares students for success in an increasingly interconnected world.
Leadership: Developing Confidence and Career Skills
Leadership at HCH is cultivated through bespoke one-on-one coaching sessions with experienced leadership coaches, dynamic guest speakers, and InvestIN career workshops. Sixth Formers build critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills through real-world simulations, networking opportunities, and personalised mentoring, preparing them for the challenges and opportunities ahead.
Philanthropy and Giving Back: Building Empathy and Community
Philanthropy is a vital part of our Sixth Form ethos. Students give back by volunteering as Mental Health Champions, mentoring literacy and EAL students, and engaging in wider community initiatives. These experiences foster empathy, teamwork, and a lifelong sense of social responsibility.
At HCH Sixth Form, we are committed to preparing students not just for university, but for life. Our unique Sixth Form journey develops resourceful, compassionate, and capable young adults ready to make a meaningful impact on the world.
