School Life
At Hampton Court House, school life is designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning. We’re proud that we achieve outstanding academic outcomes comparable to the most highly selective schools – but school life at HCH is about so much more than this. We celebrate each child’s individuality, developing their unique talents through a dynamic and nurturing environment. Our progressive approach seamlessly blends academic excellence with immersive experiences in languages, the arts, and experiential learning. Beyond the classroom, a rich tapestry of activities encourages personal growth, confidence, and lifelong friendships, ensuring every student thrives both academically and personally.
Clubs & Enrichment
At Hampton Court House, learning extends far beyond the classroom. With over 50 clubs and a vibrant enrichment programme, our students have endless opportunities to explore new interests, develop key life skills, and build lasting friendships. From creative arts and cutting-edge technology to sports, music, and adventure trips, there is something for everyone. Our diverse co-curricular activities are a key part of shaping well-rounded, confident individuals.
Music
Music is at the heart of life at Hampton Court House, where students of all abilities are encouraged to explore their musical passions. With a rich programme spanning chamber music, jazz, choirs, music tech, and instrumental lessons, every student has the chance to develop their talents and perform, whether in intimate lunchtime concerts or grand recitals. From their first notes to accomplished musicianship, we inspire a lifelong love of music.
Sport
Sport at Hampton Court House is about more than just competition – it’s about participation, enjoyment, and finding a lifelong passion for physical activity. With over 25 different sports on offer, including rowing, fencing, ballet, and team games, every student has the opportunity to develop confidence, resilience, and teamwork. Using world class facilities and expert coaching, our programme ensures that all students, from Prep to Senior School, stay active, engaged, and inspired to find the sport they want to play for life.
French
French language learning is a particular strength and feature life at Hampton Court House, where we provide a rich bilingual environment for both native and non-native speakers. We follow a French immersion programme from Year to Year 4 where some classes are taught in French. Our French as a Mother Tongue (FLAM) programme follows the French national curriculum, ensuring fluency in language and literature, while our personalised approach allows students to thrive in both English and French education systems.
For students learning French as a second language, we offer the prestigious DELF French Studies Diploma, with structured pathways from beginner to advanced levels. As a recognised DELF examination centre, we support our students in achieving internationally recognised qualifications that enhance university applications and career prospects.
School Bus Service
Hampton Court House offers a reliable and fully managed minibus service, provided by Kura, ensuring safe and efficient travel for our students. With routes covering key areas including Shepherd’s Bush, Richmond, Putney, Kingston, and Twickenham, our service features real-time tracking and updates via the Kura Parent App for peace of mind.
Morning pick-ups begin from 7:00 am, with drop-offs running between 4:15 pm and 5:55 pm. Spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to current students.
School Lunches
At Hampton Court House, we take pride in offering wholesome, balanced, and freshly prepared healthy lunches, created on-site in partnership with Connect Catering. With a focus on fresh produce and bespoke menus, our meals – with vegetarian options and a large salad bar – are a much-loved part of the school day.
We continuously refine our offering and welcome pupil feedback, ensuring that our lunches remain both nutritious and enjoyable for our school community.
