The Friends of HCH are a parent network who organise a range of special events and activities throughout the year at HCH.
The Friends of Hampton Court House is an organised charity (Registered charity no. 1202096) created by dedicated parents within the school community. They organise various social events for the school and its community, such as the Summer Fête and Winter Fayre, bake and cake sales, carnivals, Halloween parties, Easter egg hunts, graduation events, fundraising events and regular parent coffee mornings.
The group has now extended its services to include social functions for parents and educational workshops. They also have plans to support foreign school trips, creating more educational opportunities for all students.
Their role
The Friends play an essential role in enhancing the school’s community spirit. They achieve this by funding special events in the lives of the children, financing school-wide experiences beyond the classroom such as trips and enrichment programmes, and organising and managing social activities during important school and family events.
Events and activities they organise include:
- Summer Fête
- Winter Fayre
- Fireworks Display
- Easter Egg Hunt
- Teachers’ Appreciation Breakfast
- Halloween Party
- SKKF French workshop
- Magic Breakfast
- Cheese and Wine Soirée
- Sponsoring 50% of the Francophonie Week French educational programme
- Easter Reading Challenge (fundraising for new books for the school bus library)
Finances
100% of money raised from Friends’ events goes directly towards future events and educational programmes that they organise for HCH pupils.
Fundraising is done via their programme of events throughout the year including the Summer Fête and Winter Fayre, Cheese and Wine evenings, in addition to partnerships such as Stikins labels etc.
