Ever since she was a child, Aurore has been captivated by theatre, languages, and the arts. Her love for the stage led her to use it as a medium of expression from the age of 16, when she worked as a holiday camp activity leader in Normandy, her native region.
After earning her literary baccalaureate with a focus on theatre, Aurore continued her studies in Performing Arts at the University of Caen, eventually achieving her Master’s degree. During this time, she fully immersed herself in the theatrical world, undertaking internships in directing and leading productions for a student festival.
Her desire to explore the German language first took her to the University of Strasbourg, and then to Germany under the ERASMUS program, where she dedicated herself to her final year dissertation. Her pursuit of linguistic mastery then led her to Vienna, Austria, where she worked as a French language assistant for two years.
Upon returning to France, and enriched by her international experience, Aurore turned her focus to teaching French as a Foreign Language (FLE). After obtaining the DAEFLE certification, she taught in Montpellier, incorporating her love for theatre into her pedagogical approach. Her unique method caught the attention of HCH in 2017, offering her a golden opportunity: to teach both French as a Native Language (FLAM), FLE, and theatre.
In 2023, Aurore was appointed as the Director of FLAM from Y2 up to Y11 and the DELF coordinator. She passionately continues her mission of introducing young children in the Early Years to the French language. Through engaging educational activities, she instills in them a love for the language, preparing them for the Year 1 immersion program. Additionally, she is pleased to continue teaching Drama during club sessions.
Depuis son enfance, Aurore est fascinée par le théâtre, les langues et les arts. Sa passion pour le théâtre l’a conduite à l’utiliser comme moyen d’expression dès l’âge de 16 ans, lorsqu’elle travaillait comme animatrice pour de jeunes enfants en Normandie, sa région natale.
Suite à l’obtention de son baccalauréat littéraire avec une option en théâtre, Aurore poursuit ses études en Arts du spectacle à l’Université de Caen, décrochant par la suite un Master. Durant cette période, elle s’immerge pleinement dans le monde théâtral, réalisant des stages en mise en scène et dirigeant des productions pour un festival étudiant.
Son désir d’explorer la langue allemande la conduit d’abord à l’Université de Strasbourg, puis en Allemagne grâce au programme ERASMUS, où elle se consacre à son mémoire de fin d’études. Sa quête de maîtrise de la langue la mène ensuite à Vienne, en Autriche, où elle travaille comme assistante de langue française pendant deux ans.
A son retour en France, forte de son expérience internationale, Aurore s’oriente vers l’enseignement du Français Langue Étrangère (FLE). Après avoir obtenu le DAEFLE, elle enseigne à Montpellier, intégrant sa passion du théâtre dans sa pédagogie. Son unique approche attire l’attention de HCH en 2017, qui lui offre une opportunité en or : enseigner à la fois le Français Langue Maternelle (FLAM), le FLE et le théâtre.
En 2023, Aurore est nommée Directrice du FLAM (du CP à la 3ème) et coordinatrice du DELF. Elle poursuit également sa mission d’initier les tout-petits (Maternelle) à la langue française par le biais d’activités ludo-éducatives, leur inculquant une passion pour la langue et les préparant au programme d’immersion en Year 1. De plus, elle est ravie de continuer à enseigner le théâtre en organisant des clubs au cours de l’année.
