Katy earned her BSc in Environmental Biology from the University of Nottingham before training as a teacher with the TeachFirst graduate programme. Katy earned her MA from Kings College, London in Education Management in 2013. In her teaching career, she has worked in three outstanding state schools in London, including Ark Academy and Kensington Aldridge Academy, the latter of which won TES Secondary School of the year in 2018, before moving to the private sector and working in another Dukes School for the previous four years. Katy has held a range of positions in schools, including Head of House, Director of Learning, Assistant Principal and more recently Executive Deputy Headteacher before moving to Hampton Court House School as Head of Senior. Outside school, Katy enjoys board games, travelling and is a Girl Guide leader.
