Laura Dédelot


Position: Teacher of French (Prep), Y1 Form tutor, Head of Immersion & Humanities Subject Lead

Laura is a native French teacher from the North of France where she was educated. She obtained a Masters degree in the Teaching, Education and Training Profession specialising in Primary Education. She also holds a diploma in Arts, Literature, Languages, majoring in Modern Languages. With a passion for education she decided to set up her own business as a Tutor in order to meet people’s specific needs in French. Laura always looking for training and learning opportunities in order to advance herself also became an examiner of DELF/DALF.

In 2023, Laura was appointed as Humanities Subject Lead from Year 1 up to Year 4, as well as Head of Immersion in 2024. She believes that immersion is the key to truly mastering a language. In a French immersion environment, students not only learn the language but live it and experience the culture. Her goal is to cultivate a bilingual environment where students not only become proficient in French but also develop an appreciation and understanding for Francophone cultures. Inspiring confidence and curiosity in every learner. Additionally, she works on creating immersive experiences that extend beyond the classroom.

Her passions include travelling, horse riding, hiking and photography.
