Matthew was born, raised, and educated in Canada. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Kinesiology, Diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion, and a Bachelor of Education with specialisms in biology and physical education.
Matthew has taught for over a decade in various outstanding U.K. schools progressing from classroom teaching into leadership roles. Previous roles include House System Lead, Head of Biology, KS5 Biology Lead, KS3 Science Coordinator, Teacher of Science and PE, and form tutor for years 7 to 13.
Matthew is an A level and GCSE biology examiner, biology A level practical adviser, Dukes biology community coordinator, private science tutor, and author of ‘Super Simple Biology: The Ultimate Bitesize Guide’ published internationally by DK Books.
Outside of teaching, Matthew has interests in dance, fitness, volleyball and board games. Matthew is a former certified strength and conditioning specialist, competitive dancer, personal trainer, dance instructor, sports camp director, and volleyball coach.
