Rachel was born in Bedfordshire. She studied Fine Art in Cardiff before moving to London in 2012 to study the post-graduate programme at The Royal Drawing School. In 2014 she co-founded Mercer Chance Gallery in Hoxton with her partner Michael Chance. The gallery exhibits mostly representational paintings and drawings by contemporary artists. Rachel has taught drawing to The Royal Drawing school’s young associates since 2013. She is a practising artist, finding time to paint everyday, she exhibits regularly. Her work focuses on plants and the stewardship of nature.
