Tessa Bartholomew

Position: School Lead on Mental Health, Sixth Form Programme Lead, Careers, English teacher

Originally from the wide open spaces and sunshine of Southern Africa, Tessa joined HCH in September 2024, bringing a wealth of experience from within education and beyond.
Prior to teaching she worked in journalism and media relations, including with specialist crime units in the Met Police.
Tessa has worked in state and independent education for the past 20 years in a variety of roles, including senior academic and pastoral leadership.
Away from school, Tessa loves reading, gardening and being outdoors. She can often be found paddleboarding with her cockapoo Leo, or walking along the towpaths of local rivers and canals. The Gower coast of Wales holds a particularly fond place in her heart. She also volunteers at a mental health unit with Leo, a registered Pets as Therapy dog.
